This week in music …

Kindergarten:
-       Continued singing different action songs and singing games
-       Had the chance to play a steady beat using the hand drum, rhythm sticks and by shaking an egg shaker

Grade 1:
-       Continued singing in tune many rhythmic singing games and action songs.  As well as learning the first verse to our “Chance” song
-       Created and clapped rhythm patterns using “ta,” “titi” and “sh”

Grade 2:
-       Recognized, created and clapped rhythm patterns in the time signature 2/4
-       Continued to extend their knowledge with various notes and rests
-       Worked on keeping a steady beat by playing different patterns on the wooden spoons
-       Continued their vocal development by working on our first Remembrance Day song

Grade 3:
-       Created and clapped rhythm patterns in the time signature 3/4
-       Continued to extend their knowledge with various notes and rests
-       Worked on keeping a steady beat by using the wooden spoons, and started to piece the patterns together to create a longer “song”
-       Continued their vocal development by working on our first Remembrance Day song

Grade 4:
-       Created and clapped rhythm patterns in the time signature 4/4
-       Continued vocal development while working on our first Remembrance Day song
