First day of Music!!

Today was a great first day back at school!

Some of the Grade 3 and 4 students had music today.  They had the chance to work in small groups solving a music puzzle.

Hi Everyone!!! Wow ... what a week!  I hope and everyone of you are doing well!   I am missing you all so much and what we were creating in the music room! I am safe and healthy and was working at the school this week. Kindergarten students, I miss teaching you how to sing "O Canada" and talking about a heart beat with you! Grade 1 and 2 students, I am missing your sweet voices while singing and teaching you about the sol-fa notes. Grade 3 and 4 students, I am missing your xylophone playing and watching you grow with your sol-fa notes.  TASC students, I am missing your smiles and giggles and working with the different shaking instruments with you. This week in music … Kindergarten: -        Had the chance to use the egg shaker, rhythm sticks and hand drum while singing a song about fall -        Practiced standing for O Canada -        Echoed a song about Pizza Grade 1: -        Practiced singing in tune the song “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain” -        Sung the entire “Chance” song -        Continued working on a steady beat using the spoons – played patterns with 3 beats and 7 beats Grade 2: -        Did an assessment on 3/4 time -        Continued singing in tune and working on “In Flanders Fields” -        Continued working with the spoons and learning different rhythm patterns with 7 beats Grade 3:...
