December 2nd - 5th

December 2 nd – 5 th This week in music … TASC -        Practiced keeping a slow and fast beat with the rhythm sticks -        Worked on using an instrument that shakes during the song “Jingle Bells” -        Used the file folder song “There Was An Old Lady” Kindergarten -        Did some echo activities using the rhythm sticks and working on keeping a steady beat -        Worked on vocal development and talked about the difference between singing and screaming Grade 1 -        Continued working on vocal development by practicing some winter themed songs -        Started learning a song about Friendship -        Worked on keeping a steady beat with the rhythm sticks and doing echo rhythm patterns -        Bennet and Beckett shared a song for us on the piano.   Thank you for sharing your talents with us! Dear Choir Students (and Parents): Our biggest week of the year is about to begin.   This is a short breakdown of what you need to be prepared for: Tuesday, December 3 - rehearsal at lunch Thursday, December 5 - rehearsal at lunch Monday, December 9 - EXTRA rehearsal at lunch Tuesday, December 10 - rehearsal IN THE GYM Wednesday, December 11 - sing at senior’s complex - begin walking over at 9:20 - dress appropriately for a fifteen minute walk - dark bottoms and white top Thursday, December 12 - rehearsal at lunch Thursday, December 12 - sing in the afternoon for the school at 2:15 - dark bottoms and white top Thursday, December 12 - evening concert - be in the music room by 6:15 - dress in your finest clothes Looking forward to celebrating with you next week!
