This week in music … TASC -        Practiced keeping a beat using the hand drums -        Used the file folder song “Wheels on the bus” Kindergarten -        Played the game “Farmer in the Dell” but used Halloween ideas -        Walked, stomped and ran to the beat -        Kept a slow, fast and medium beat using the boomwhackers Grade 1: -        Continued exploring a slow, medium and fast beat -        Continued moving to a slow, medium and fast beat -        Continued working on vocal development by singing echo songs Grade 2: -        Continued working in small groups to play simple rhythms on the boomwhackers -        Continued working on vocal development by singing in tune Grade 3: -        Continued working in small groups to play simple rhythms on the boomwhackers -        Continued vocal development Grade 4: -        Continued working in small groups to play simple rhythm songs -        C

October 15th - 18th

This week in music … Kindergarten: -        Practiced standing for O Canada -        Learned the song “Ham & Eggs” – we sung this song as an echo activity Grade 1: -        Continued singing a wide range of songs including our “Chance” song and “Baby Bumblebee” -        Started working with the boomwhackers keeping a steady beat. We worked on keeping a slow, medium and fast steady beat -        While working with the boomwhackers students also kept a steady beat while moving around my classroom through walking, stomping and running Grade 2: -        Continued working on their vocal development by working on singing in tune -        Started working in small groups with the boomwhackers and had the chance to start learning how to play a simple song with simple rhythms Grade 3: -        Continued working on their vocal development while singing in tune and working on enunciation of words -        Started working with the boomwha
