December 2nd – 5th

This week in music …

TASC
-       Practiced keeping a slow and fast beat with the rhythm sticks
-       Worked on using an instrument that shakes during the song “Jingle Bells”
-       Used the file folder song “There Was An Old Lady”

Kindergarten
-       Did some echo activities using the rhythm sticks and working on keeping a steady beat
-       Worked on vocal development and talked about the difference between singing and screaming

Grade 1
-       Continued working on vocal development by practicing some winter themed songs
-       Started learning a song about Friendship
-       Worked on keeping a steady beat with the rhythm sticks and doing echo rhythm patterns
-       Bennet and Beckett shared a song for us on the piano.  Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

Grade 2
-       Continued working on vocal development through singing in tune and doing simple echo activities while learning winter themed songs
-       Worked on keeping a steady beat and echoing rhythm patterns while using the buckets and bucket drumming
-       Anna, Xaviera, Addison and Sayeh shared a song for us on the piano.  Thank you for sharing your talents with us girls!

Grade 3:
-       Worked on some winter themed songs and focused on enunciation of the words
-       Used the bucket drums to play along with the song “Jingle Bells” – focused on playing different rhythm patterns and sticking together as one large group
-       Preslee shared her piano playing with us and Nora sung a song for us.  Thank you for sharing your talents girls!

Grade 4:
-       Worked on some winter themed songs – focused on enunciation and expression in songs
-       Continued working on the song “O Siem” – using the hand drums, rhythm sticks and tambourine to play different rhythm patterns to accompany the song
