This week in music …

Kindergarten:
-       Continued singing different action songs, echo songs and singing games
-       Continued working on playing a steady beat

Grade 1:
-       Continued singing in tune many rhythmic singing games and action songs. Song of the week was “Down by the Station”
-       Finished learning the first verse of our “Chance” song
-       Worked with the spoons and practice keeping a steady beat
-       Had the chance to draw rhythm patterns from teacher dictation using “ta,” “titi” and “sh”

Grade 2:
-       Recognized, created and clapped rhythm patterns in the time signature 3/4
-       Continued working on keeping a steady beat while learning new rhythm patterns on the spoons
-       Continued their vocal development by working on “In Flanders Fields” for Remembrance Day,  O Canada and the “Chance” song

Grade 3:
-       Recognized, created and clapped rhythm patterns in the time signature 4/4
-       Worked in small groups creating spoons compositions focusing on keeping a steady beat
-       Continued their vocal development by working on “In Flanders Fields” for Remembrance Day and O Canada

Grade 4:
-       Continued their vocal development while working on “In Flanders Fields” and O Canada in French
-       Worked in small groups creating spoons compositions while focusing on sticking together and keeping a steady beat
